Termites can be a homeowners’ worst nightmare. Steel framed homes are virtually termite proof. Since termites feed on organic cellulose from wood, a steel framed home just doesn’t provide a source of food for termites.
Particularly devastating is the Formosan Termite, now being found in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. An isolated colony has also been found in California.
